As I wake up in a bed that’s not my own,

I immediately check to see the damage that had been done while I slept.

Nothing too bad yet.

As this virus thing gets worst, people are fleeing left and right.

Including me.

Other than when I decided to leave my life in New York behind, this was one of the hardest choices I’ve had to make so far.

I wonder if it’ll be equally as life changing.

As my usual daily life diminishes, I’ll be spending my time being of service to another, studying the most that I can, training to my fullest extent, and remaining calm.

It’s all I can do.

I’ll be away from my love hopefully not as long as expected.

Haku, my cat, remains by my bedside; also adjusting to her new home.

What will come of this?

The future holds so much I can’t see it all.

I pray for the best.

Be safe.
