Where are you?

I am here.

What time is it?

Now.

Be Here Now was a concept first introduced to me by one of my teachers, Ram Dass.

This concept was introduced to him by his Guru, Neem Karoli Baba.

I later heard this reference rephrased in a book called The Way of the Peaceful Warrior.

Not only is this a fantastic book, it reiterated the importance of presence. Especially on the path of awareness.

I ponder that idea of there being a “path of awareness”.

I couldn’t fathom someone wanting to live their life not being aware.

But some people live in ignorance. And they like it that way.

Being here now is being present in this moment.

Being Here, Now.

Be Here, Now.

There is no separation between the Here and Now.

Here can only exist where we are and the same could be said for Now.

Now is wherever you are. And so is Here.

They are 2 sides of the same sheet of paper.

It is that 2-dimensional line that stands between them, that you are; the fibers that make it all up.

Can you bring more awareness to your actions?

Can you bring more presence to your days?

Whenever you think, what time is it? First realize that you are in the present moment. You are in the Now.

Notice this moment and bring the awareness of your surroundings to the forefront of your mind.

What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell? Taste? Feel?

Notice all of these things.

Practice this at times you find yourself wondering the time. Or wondering your location.

Remember you are always Here & Now.

Then learn to bring that awareness to every moment of your life. This takes practice so don’t worry.

Just be present with no fight, no struggle. Effortless action is the way of Tao.

Have a great day!
