they ask me why i don’t call your name anymore;
i still look to the mountains in hopes to find you there
i imagine—
seeing you one last time as if we’ve met before—they tell me;
find him find him and think i haven’t been looking;
where’s the silence?
where’s the silence they speak of so loudly the only thing i hear is the chants of the wind and trees in my ears–it’s deafening oh i’ve heard it before it’s within|without around and about
in b e t w e e n the walls of my mind the extension of this universe–
so blind so blind
oh Master, can’t you hear my call?
they tell me look for you as if i haven’t been looking at all—what am i to do with all this silence and fog—tell me Master, what am i to do in a world too perfect for existence itself–tell me;
what am i to do?
and how long should i search for?
Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”), or kintsukuroi (金繕い, “golden repair”), is the Japanese art and practice of repairing broken pottery by mending the cracks with lacquer and powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As part of Wabi-Sabi philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as a part of the object’s history, rather than something to hide.

THE SCENE I TRY AND PAINT OUT
IS THE FEELING OF LONGING AND LONLINESS.
The scene of a young wanderer
walking an endless path.

This is a small piece of a copied page from Maharaji Neem Karoli Baba’s Journal
It is the name Ram, written over and over again.
Neem Karoli Baba was the guru of many, including Ram Dass, a teacher I hold dearly to my heart. I also hold Maharaj right there next to him.
Ram, above all, is a name of God.
This work is a representation of the vast stillness that lies within me.
The vast stillness that lies within us all.
Within this space, my heart craves to find my Teacher.
Once this feeling awoke within, it never left me.
I know you’re in there,
somewhere deep within the mountains of my heart cave.
I call to you Sensei;
won’t you hear my call?
