Is Your Soul Starving? Find True Fulfillment

Humans bind themselves to their own drama.

We get so attached to our concepts of life, our titles, our trauma, that we begin to define ourselves by it.

But who are we truly?

I wrote something the other day around the lines of,

You may be starving your Soul

I want to break this down a bit to explain to you what I mean.

Your Soul, in this sense, is the Truth of who you are. It is your direct connection to Source; the piece of you that is God.

Now, how could you be starving it?

Think of a cellphone; a phone cannot function unless it is charged.

How is it charged? By plugging it into a source of electricity or power, which is then stored within the phones battery until it runs out.

Now, take your Soul. Your Soul cannot function without the living, breathing, essence of God.

However, we can live our whole lives without ever turning to Him. And still, we remain alive.

This is because by God’s Grace, though He creates and breathes through us, it is not necessary in one lifetime to know Him.

But if it is your time and you have been seeking; you are looking to live fulfilled, joyous and abundantly, you must charge your Soul.

This is the idea of “plugging” yourself into Source and recharging your Soul.

Now why do I think most people are starving?

From my own experience and from witnessing others, I watch us endlessly search for amusement.

We look for passion, excitement, entertainment; essentially, fulfillment.

The truth that I find is we will never be fulfilled by anything in this material reality. Everything we try to fulfill ourself with in this world is constantly fleeting and will never fill our batteries.

Yes, it may seem fulfilling in the moment and may even last for years, however our battery will never be filled. It will always be depleting when being filled with impermanent satisfaction.

But when you choose to run on God, you will have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Everlasting life is something that is repeated countless times in the Holy Bible when referring to the outcome of turning to God fully.

When I say you may be starving your Soul, I mean you may be looking in all the wrong places for answers; you may be running to impermanent solutions.

Dear reader, I don’t ask you to believe me. What I do ask is that you see for yourself.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Matthew 7: 7-8
