Eclipse season is upon us! Starting this upcoming Saturday, April 30th, with the New “Black’” Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus. We won’t be getting into our May eclipse in this post, however, we will be covering the important deets for you on how to benefit most from this one.
New Moon in Taurus
What we know about new moons is that they are great for setting intentions, goals, vision planning, and preparing for the new. It’s about releasing what no longer serves us in order to move forward with the things that will.
Now, let’s talk about Taurus; an Earthy, grounding, stabilizing energy. Taurus promotes self-care, slowing down, and really embracing the material world in all aspects. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love and relationships, this energy brought on by the new moon in this sign gives us the opportunity to reflect on our current relationships and see what is working and what’s not.
And although new moons are generally best for manifesting our intentions, Dr. Vani Kabir warns us during this new moon solar eclipse, manifesting is a no-go.
Eclipse Energy
As you may or may not know, solar eclipses can only occur during a new moon. Energetic wise, eclipses bring chaotic energy. They also enhance the current energy the moon is bringing in, in this case, the new moon energy in Taurus.
Luckily, the grounding and stabilizing earth energy of Taurus calms the chaos that usually is an eclipse. Thus not being so insane, but more controlled and easy to work with.
Eclipse energy is very powerful and ripples outward for months prior to the event and months after. Expect to feel the outcomes and results of this time for a little while.
What to expect from this “Black Moon” Solar Eclipse
This solar eclipse, you can expect the gateway for opportunity to be opened. Again, this is not for you to intentionally manifest anything, but to let go of what needs to be. You are allowing the process to unfold and opening yourself up to what you will indeed receive.
There are also notions of big changes underway, mainly due to this opening of opportunity. This eclipse brings loving and expansive energy so do not fear what’s to come. Remember, this is about release and receptivity.
This powerful Taurian energy is reminding us to slow down—even if it has to force us. Rest and renewal is the message being sent. Being an earth sign along with this powerful moon, there is strong feminine energy influence here. The female is soft, accepting, receptive, delicate yet fierce.
