Dear Writers of WordPress,

How is it that you thrive?

I wonder where my viewers come from;

other than when I share a post on Instagram or Facebook.

I notice some posts get many views one day,

and than 0 the next three.

Where are you all, and what am I doing wrong?

Any tips?

Anyone?

If you see this…

    I wouldn’t exactly call my paltry 160 some odd followers a lot. But I’ve had a lot of luck gameing search algorithms. The issues with most blogs is that they are not being seen by the people who would be interested.
    Something as simple as knowing what time of day to post can be a little hard to figure out (I’ve had the most luck with noon). WordPress uses a tag system as well so make sure you are tagging your posts.
    Also the more often you post the more the search algorithms notice you blog and will tend to bump those as well. That’s been the hardest thing for me honestly. A full time job and I need to remember to post frequently or I’ll see a decline in views.
    My current balance is four posts a week. Two poems or stories, one blog journal every other week, and one reblog on Fridays.
    Honestly I’m not convinced its worth it to go for maximum algorithm gaming. That would include researching trending topics and then incorporating them into your writing. Which at least for me feels bad.
    So I’ve just focused on consistent posting and remembering to tag my things.
    Uhh that went kind of long, but I hope that helps.
