Another Sunset with You Worth Spending

Any moment with you is one worth spending;

Whether we stare at our screens or each other in the eyes—

any moment with you is a moment worth spending.

To me,

these moments aren’t spent.

Instead they roam and flutter about in the warm cool air of spring.

I watch them pass me by like a feather in a still breeze while the sun sets behind the city streets.

If I could choose

which moments I’d spend with you,

I’d choose them all and nothing less.

They don’t tell you someone could be this beautiful.

Instead they say things like, don’t get your hopes up and expect less.

Since I was young, I’ve dared to dream.

I remember watching a movie as a young little witch, watching two other little witches cast their spells. A love spell to be exact.

One of the girls took her notebook and listed an impossible man; one she believed to never exist. She stated this man to be her one and only. Therefore, she would never fall in love.

I too, casted this spell.

I collected colored feathers and rose petals and listed the things I thought could never be.

I look back at these days now and I couldn’t find myself any further from a fool.

The man that little girl created when she was younger did exist and somehow found his way in her life through a thing called fate. Or maybe even magick.

Little did I know, I would also find the same.

As someone now and even before, who can’t even imagine an infinity, I can only see this everlasting moment with you.

If I had to choose, I’d choose no other than now with you.

Then the one before with you and the one after.

I’d choose now and now all over again and maybe even a little before just to choose now again.

Any and every moment is one worth spending when it’s with you.

only with you do I find such poetry in the streets ~
